MAYNARD — Fire Chief Anthony Stowers reports that the Maynard Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Tuesday night.
At approximately 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, Maynard Fire responded to 110 Summer St. for a report of a fire at a detached garage.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire coming from the structure. Crews made a quick and aggressive attack and brought the fire under control within 30 minutes of arrival.
No one was inside the garage at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The garage sustained significant damage but it is believed to be repairable.
Mutual aid was provided by the Stow and Acton Fire Departments, as well as the District 14 Fire Investigation Team. Station coverage was provided by the Boxborough, Sudbury, and Concord Fire Departments.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Maynard Fire Department.
