MAYNARD – On April 12, 2020, Easter Sunday, Maynard Firefighters helped bring the Easter Bunny through town to celebrate the holiday. In this time of COVID-19, the Maynard Fire Department assisted in brightening this Spring Holiday by hopping throughout the Town. The hour long parade route allowed residents to keep social distance while seeing a special visitor. Captain Parr drove the Easter Bunny and Sparky the Fire Dog through Town Sunday. “We thought it was important to mark the day. This parade route gave people an option near home to see the Easter Bunny. The public has been very supportive of first responders and medical personnel. This was a way for us to give back a happy memorable moment in a time of uncertainty. It was great to see residents gather in their cars and at the end of their driveways. It looked like the kids really appreciated the surprise.”
